Job Description
Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise web applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture; developing and enhancing RESTful and GraphQL APIs to support integration between enterprise applications and backend systems; implementing security features using Spring Security and OAuth-based authentication mechanisms; developing responsive user interface components using Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript; utilizing Spring Cloud components for service discovery, centralized configuration, and inter-service communication within distributed systems; utilizing and applying knowledge of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Apache Kafka, Azure Event Hub, GraphQL, Dynatrace, Mezmo, Azure DevOps, Git, and GitHub Copilot to accomplish necessary tasks; participating in cloud-based application deployment and support activities on Microsoft Azure platform; managing CI/CD pipelines for automated build, deployment, and release management processes; working with MS SQL Server and MongoDB for database development, query optimization, data validation, and troubleshooting activities; utilizing Azure Event Hub for event-driven messaging and system integration requirements; performing application performance and load testing using JMeter to identify bottlenecks and improve system reliability; monitoring application health, logs, and production performance using Dynatrace, Mezmo, and related monitoring tools; analyzing and resolving production issues, performing root cause analysis, and supported application stability and performance improvements; utilizing Git-based version control and Agile Scrum methodologies for iterative software development and delivery; participating in specification-driven development activities, code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to ensure application quality and maintainability; leveraging AI-assisted development tools including GitHub Copilot to improve development productivity, code generation, and testing support; and supporting application deployment, maintenance, and enhancement activities following enterprise development standards and best practices.
Location: Marlboro, NJ and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.;
Salary: $137,717 per year;
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, as a Software Engineer, as a Software Engineer II, as a Senior System Engineer, as a Senior Consultant, as a Java Programmer, or in a related occupation;
Other Requirements: Experience must include two (2) years’ use of all the following: Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Apache Kafka, Azure Event Hub, GraphQL, Dynatrace, Mezmo, Azure DevOps, Git, and GitHub Copilot.
Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
