Position: Welder Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable Welderto join our team. This position involves primarily outdoor welding and fabrication work, often in varying weather conditions. The ideal candidate is comfortable working outdoors, has strong attention to detail, and can safely perform quality welds on a variety of metal components and structures. Responsibilities -Perform MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding as required. -Weld and fabricate metal components, structures, equipment, and repairs according to specifications. -Read and interpret basic drawings, measurements, and welding instructions. -Prepare metal surfaces by cutting, grinding, cleaning, and fitting materials. -Operate welding equipment, cutting tools, grinders, and other shop and field equipment safely. -Perform welding work primarily outdoors and in changing weather conditions. -Inspect completed welds for quality, strength, and accuracy. -Make repairs and modifications to existing metal structures and equipment. -Maintain a clean and organized work area. -Follow all company safety procedures and proper PPE requirements. -Perform routine maintenance and care of welding equipment. Work effectively as part of a team while also being able to work independently. -Perform other duties related to welding and fabrication as assigned. Qualifications -Previous welding experience preferred; relevant training or demonstrated welding ability will be considered. -Ability to perform quality welds using appropriate welding processes. -Ability to read measurements and use common welding and fabrication tools. -Mechanical aptitude and good problem-solving skills. -Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in various weather conditions. -Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials and equipment. -Strong commitment to workplace safety. -Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude. -Welding certification is a plus but not required if experience can be demonstrated. Physical Requirements -Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in awkward positions for extended periods. -Ability to lift and move materials and equipment as required. -Ability to work around heat, sparks, fumes, noise, dust, and outdoor environmental conditions. -Must be able to wear required safety equipment, including welding helmet, gloves, protective clothing, and other PPE. Work Environment -This is primarily an outdoor welding position. Employees should be prepared to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions. The position may also involve occasional work in a shop or other indoor environment. Experience Level: Entry-level to experienced welders considered; training may be available for the right candidate
