Dieterich Bank is seeking a Credit Analyst to join our team at our Corporate Center in Effingham, Illinois.

In this role, you will analyze and monitor the creditworthiness of existing and prospective customers, with a strong focus on commercial lending. You will perform underwriting and financial analysis for commercial borrowers, typically with credit exposures exceeding $1,000,000. Your analysis and recommendations will help loan officers and the Directors' Loan Committee make informed lending decisions.

This position requires sound judgment, strong analytical skills, and the ability to independently evaluate credit risk.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and related financial information.
• Underwrite commercial loan requests and evaluate credit risk.
• Prepare credit presentations and recommendations for loan approval.
• Monitor and review existing commercial loan relationships.
• Assist loan officers with financial analysis and credit-related questions.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies and lending guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis, commercial underwriting, or a similar lending-related role.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience analyzing financial statements and tax returns.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Corporate Center in Effingham, IL. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening, weekend, and travel requirements may be necessary to meet customer needs and business demands.
