The Opportunity
We are seeking a Site Manager to lead operations across our Hendersonville and Smyrna clinics in the Nashville area. Lead the people, processes and day-to-day performance of two clinical research sites. This role is for a hands-on operator who develops teams, delegates effectively and builds the structure that allows both locations to deliver a consistent patient experience as activity grows.
You will own the day-to-day performance of both locations, including people leadership, patient experience, staffing, operational workflows, resource management and adherence to established quality and compliance standards. You will partner with physicians, research teams and organizational leadership to keep both sites aligned and operating effectively.
Success means building a team that can deliver consistently without relying on the manager to personally complete every task. You will establish clear responsibilities, coach employees, delegate meaningful ownership and create repeatable processes that support increasing patient and study activity. This is an onsite, two-location leadership role requiring regular presence at both clinics and local travel between them.
What You'll Take Ownership Of
- Lead two sites as one coordinated operation. Maintain consistent expectations, communication and operating standards while responding to each clinic's needs.
- Develop and manage the team. Coach clinical research and administrative employees, provide feedback, address performance issues and establish clear accountability.
- Delegate for sustainable growth. Assign responsibilities thoughtfully, develop employees' capabilities and reduce dependence on any one person as workloads increase.
- Manage daily execution. Coordinate staffing, schedules, patient flow, supplies, equipment and competing priorities to support reliable operations at both locations.
- Build repeatable workflows. Identify bottlenecks, clarify handoffs and implement practical processes that improve consistency, productivity and quality.
- Protect the patient experience. Help ensure patients receive professional, dependable and compassionate service, and resolve operational concerns promptly.
- Partner with physicians and research teams. Build trusted working relationships, communicate priorities and address issues that affect study delivery or clinic performance.
- Monitor operational and financial performance. Review established measures, identify trends and act on opportunities to improve delivery and responsible use of resources.
- Plan for changing needs. Partner with leadership on staffing, budgeting, forecasting and resource allocation as site activity evolves.
- Support quality and compliance. Ensure work follows study protocols, established procedures, applicable requirements and patient confidentiality standards, with support from the appropriate clinical and specialist teams.
- Prepare for audits and inspections. Support accurate documentation, readiness activities, corrective actions and continuous improvement.
- Be visible and hands-on. Work alongside the team when needed, within your training and responsibilities, while maintaining the delegation and leadership necessary to run both sites effectively.
What You'll Bring
- At least four years of direct people-management experience, including responsibility for coaching, employee development and team performance. Experience may span multiple roles or employers.
- Experience owning day-to-day operations that aligns with clinic management, operations management or healthcare operations management.
- Demonstrated ability to organize work, manage competing priorities and make sound day-to-day decisions without constant direction.
- Experience establishing clear expectations, delegating responsibility and developing a team that can perform consistently.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, physicians and organizational leaders.
- Ability to work onsite at both Hendersonville and Smyrna, with regular local travel between the clinics.
Strong non-healthcare operations backgrounds are also welcome, particularly where you have owned frontline service delivery, developed employees and improved performance in a high-volume or multi-site environment. We are interested in how you lead and run an operation, not only the industry on your résumé.
Helpful, but Not Required
- Leadership across multiple locations or responsibility for a high-volume operation.
- Healthcare operations experience and productive partnerships with physicians or other clinical leaders.
- Experience using operational and financial measures to make decisions.
- Examples of building processes, improving staffing coverage or developing employees into greater responsibility.
- A bachelor's degree, considered alongside relevant professional and leadership experience.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive base salary and the opportunity to earn additional performance-based compensation. Eligible employees have access to benefits that include medical, dental and vision coverage; life and disability benefits; maternity leave; paid time off; and a retirement savings plan.
