As a Substitute Cafeteria Aide, you'll help keep our cafeteria running smoothly while providing students with a positive and welcoming mealtime experience. No two days are exactly the same, and you'll work alongside our cafeteria team to help with meal service, basic food preparation, cleaning, and general kitchen support. This is an important role in our school community! Your work helps ensure our students are served safe, nutritious meals in a clean, friendly, and welcoming environment. What You'll Do
- Help prepare and serve meals to our students and staff
- Welcome and assist students during meal service with a friendly and positive attitude
- Help set up and maintain an organized, efficient serving area
- Assist with basic food preparation and portioning
- Keep kitchen, serving, and dining areas clean and sanitary
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, equipment, and work surfaces
- Safely operate kitchen equipment and follow established procedures
- Restock food and supplies as needed
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene requirements
- Work closely with the cafeteria team to keep daily operations running smoothly
- Step in to provide support when regular cafeteria staff members are absent or additional help is needed

- Able to follow directions and established procedures
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment when needed
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Flexible and willing to accept assignments based on school needs
