TITLE: Cook REQUIREMENTS: No education or experience required. JOB DUTIES: Prepare, such as wash, peel, slice, chop and measure basic ingredients using manual tools and basic appliances. Steam, simmer, boil, parboil, fry and grill items according to recipes. Prepare authentic Japanese dishes including sushi, ramen, katsu, tempura using traditional Japanese cooking techniques. Operate basic kitchen equipment, such as knives, grills, fryers, and steamers. Ensure the freshness of ingredients. Arrange and garnish food on serving dishes. Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils and dishes in accordance with health and safety regulations. Cook, handle, and store food or ingredients. Label, date and store all food items, leftovers and raw ingredients in refrigerators, freezers and dry pantries. This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds, consistent with the physical demands of a professional kitchen environment.
