$35,000 base. 7% commission. Some nights you’ll be working while everybody else is having dinner.
I’m hiring someone to help me build Daisy Ocala & The Villages. You’ll sell smart home projects, then stay involved long enough to make sure we deliver what you promised. Some days that means walking a job with a builder at 7 a.m., spending the afternoon chasing proposals, and meeting a homeowner that evening. Some of the jobs you work hardest to win will go to somebody else.
Here’s why I think the right person will want it. We’re on pace to sell just shy of $1 million this year without anyone focused full-time on sales. I believe a dedicated salesperson can sell $1.5 million a year in this market. At 7%, that’s $105,000 in commission and $140,000 in total annual pay, including the $35,000 base. Your earnings will depend on what you sell.
We design and install lighting, motorized shades, home theaters, Wi-Fi, security cameras, and home automation. The finished projects look great. Getting there takes prospecting, hearing no, following up again, and answering the phone when a job gets complicated.
What I need you to do
- Build relationships with builders, designers, and homeowners across Ocala and The Villages. Bring in your own opportunities.
- Walk jobs, talk openly about budgets, and work with our technical team to put together proposals we can deliver profitably.
- Ask for the sale. When it closes, make sure the install team knows exactly what the client expects.
- Stay involved when the schedule slips, the scope changes, or the client needs an answer.
- Work directly with me to build how this business sells and operates as we grow.
Who I want to hear from
You’ve sold work that somebody had to build or install after you got the signature. You know how to find business, earn trust, and have a hard conversation when it’s yours to have. If you’ve done that in custom homes, AV, lighting, shades, or another trade, I’d like to talk.
Email info.ocala@daisyco.com and tell me about two jobs. Give me one you found and closed yourself, and one that went sideways after the sale. I want to know what you did when it got hard.
