Job Summary

We are seeking a highly accomplished District Executive Chef to support the culinary operations of multiple VIP AMEX Centurion Lounges across a designated region. This strategic leadership role is ideal for a culinary professional who is passionate about developing talent, driving food safety excellence, and delivering elevated guest experiences in premium airport lounge environments.
The District Executive Chef will serve as a culinary subject matter expert, partnering closely with Executive Chefs and Operations leaders to ensure consistency, innovation, compliance, and operational excellence across multiple locations. This position requires approximately 50% travel and candidates must be based in Las Vegas (LAS), Salt Lake City (SLC), San Francisco (SFO), or Seattle (SEA).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to Executive Chefs and culinary teams across multiple AMEX Centurion Lounge locations.
- Drive culinary excellence, operational consistency, and execution of premium dining experiences.
- Lead and support food safety, sanitation, and HACCP compliance programs.
- Conduct site visits, assess performance, and implement best practices to elevate operations.
- Prepare teams for internal and external food safety audits and maintain exceptional audit performance.
- Partner with culinary leadership to develop training programs and succession planning initiatives.
- Coach teams on production standards, execution, presentation, labor management, and inventory controls.
- Support new lounge openings, culinary transitions, and implementation of new menu concepts.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in food quality, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with operations, marketing, and client partners to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
- Champion Compass Group's culture of safety, service, and culinary innovation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of Executive Chef or multi-unit culinary leadership experience.
- Proven success leading high-volume hospitality, upscale dining, premium lounge, hotel, resort, or contract foodservice operations.
- Strong background in coaching, training, and developing culinary leaders and kitchen teams.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams through successful food safety and sanitation audits.
- Extensive knowledge of HACCP, local health regulations, and food safety compliance standards.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing food cost, labor, purchasing, and inventory controls.
- Experience supporting multiple locations and managing operations in a matrixed environment.
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills.
- Culinary degree preferred.
- Ability to travel approximately 50% throughout the assigned region.
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Las Vegas, NV; Salt Lake City, UT; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA.
