Visiting Assistant Professor in Computer Science
Position details:
Coe College invites applications from dynamic, student-centered individuals for a full-time position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Computer Science in the Department of Mathematical Sciences to begin August 2025. This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of renewal contingent upon the needs of the department and positive reviews of teaching and other responsibilities. All areas of specialization will be considered, but a priority will be given to candidates prepared to teach courses in Algorithms or Programming Languages. Applicants that have the ability to contribute to our Data Science program would be desirable.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- ABD status in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field is required; Ph.D. preferred.
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in the classroom.
- Commitment to undergraduate mentoring through formal and informal advising.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States as visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
