Salary Range:
- $21.53 / Hour To $23.31 /Hour for Operator I (DOQ)
- $22.83 / Hour To $24.70 /Hour for Operator II (DOQ)
NOW HIRING – Operator I/Operator II Clay County, Missouri | Road & Bridge Department Join Our Team and Help Keep Clay County Moving! Clay County is seeking a motivated Operator I or Operator II to join our Road & Bridge Department. This position performs tasks including, but not limited to pothole and road repairs, snow and ice removal operations, brush clearing, Right-of-Way mowing, culvert and ditch maintenance, bridge repairs, and guardrail repairs. Operator II requires additional experience operating heavy construction equipment. Previous local or state experiences are always a plus. Must be able to work in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Pothole and road repairs.
- Snow and ice removal operations.
- Bridge and culvert repairs.
- Additional Right-of-Way maintenance.
- Respond to after-hours emergencies, including snow removal and storm cleanup.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- For Operator I, class A or B or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- For Operator II, class A at time of hire
- Tanker and HazMat Endorsements within 6 months of hire
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
