Newberry is known for its stable growth and a fiscally responsible government. Newberry also lays claim to ownership of its own fire department, water plant, waste water plant and sanitation department – with savings passed on to its residents. It is one of the few remaining cities that purchases electric power and then resells it. Over 100 businesses call Newberry home with more residents and businesses welcome daily.
More and more individuals and businesses are discovering the beauty and allure of this special town as Gainesville’s residential and commercial growth expands westward.
