CGI Federal is seeking a Senior Mainframe Capacity & Performance Engineer to support the Social Security Administration (SSA), Division of Mainframe Systems Software (MSS), Mainframe Capacity & Performance Branch (MCPB). This role provides technical expertise in mainframe performance engineering, capacity planning, workload management, systems optimization, and performance analysis across SSA's enterprise IBM zSystems environment.
The successful candidate will support mission critical capacity and performance initiatives, evaluate application readiness for production deployment, perform systems performance analysis, develop capacity forecasts, and provide recommendations that improve system availability, throughput, and operational efficiency. The position will support modernization initiatives involving cloud technologies, Agile development methodologies, DevOps practices, and enterprise monitoring and analytics platforms.
