Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a 1st shift Setup/Matchup position in our High Point, NC manufacturing plant.
Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations excellence. This position is responsible for matching up fiber to foam on the conveyor line.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Receive and understand daily production schedule from supervisor.
- Receive foam and fiber materials from cutting areas and stage in orderly manner near the glue booths.
- Matchup foam and fiber components together and evenly distribute to each gluer with regard to cushion size and quantity.
- Bring fiber to the line and match up fiber to foam on the conveyor line. Needs to be organized and able to keep up with glue lines to produce orders quickly.
Education:
High school diploma or GED.
Skills and requirements:
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
- Lifting up to 30 lbs. throughout shift
- Ability to read and interpret work orders
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Maintain steady work pace in a high-volume department
- Must be able to read and interpret a tape measure
- Perform basis math skills
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Work Hours: Mon - Thurs, 6:00AM-4:30PM or depending on business needs
Hourly Rate: $20.20-$20.78
