WHO are we looking for?
CAPTRUST is seeking a Project Manager, Enterprise Initiatives to provide project management and Agile delivery support for our Institutional Client Reporting (ICR) team. This role will partner across Product, Business, Development, QA, Data, and Delivery teams to manage the project backlog, coordinate sprint execution, track dependencies and risks, and keep key initiatives moving forward. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working in an Agile environment, and skilled at managing multiple workstreams and competing priorities.
This is a temporary assignment anticipated to last up to one year.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day project management and delivery support for the Institutional Client Reporting (ICR) team, helping keep initiatives organized, prioritized, and progressing through delivery.
- Lead the planning and execution of cross-functional projects, partnering closely with Product, Business, Development, QA, Data, and Delivery teams.
- Manage and maintain the ICR backlog in Azure DevOps, ensuring user stories, defects, requirements, and acceptance criteria are documented, prioritized, refined, and ready for upcoming sprints.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily Scrum, backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and other working sessions.
- Manage sprint execution and capacity by establishing sprint goals, sequencing work, monitoring progress, and adjusting priorities as business needs, defects, or dependencies arise.
- Track project milestones, blockers, risks, and cross-team dependencies, escalating issues as needed to keep work on schedule.
- Coordinate defect and production-issue triage, helping assess priorities and incorporate identified issues into planned work.
- Partner with stakeholders to communicate project status, upcoming priorities, decisions, risks, and dependencies, while translating business needs and feedback into actionable work.
- Support release and deployment readiness by coordinating with Development and QA and maintaining visibility into items that could impact delivery.
- Drive follow-up and accountability across project meetings and working sessions, ensuring decisions result in clear next steps, ownership, and deliverables.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve project management and Agile delivery processes.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of applicable experience
Desired Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience in the investment industry
- Ability to handle multiple work streams and adapt to a constantly changing environment
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps
- QA/testing knowledge
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with all levels of staff
- Experience with Agile methodology
- Understanding of CRM applications (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics)
- Ability to work independently, proactively, and in an organized manner
- High standard of professionalism
