Position Overview
As a Shift Lead, you will help oversee day-to-day restaurant operations while leading and supporting your team during each shift. You will ensure that guests receive exceptional service, quality food, and a welcoming environment while maintaining Capriotti's operational standards.
You will serve as a role model for team members by demonstrating leadership, positivity, accountability, and a commitment to excellence.
What You'll Do
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, motivate, and support team members throughout each shift
- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure completion of daily responsibilities
- Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented workplace culture
- Coach and develop team members through ongoing feedback and support
- Recognize team accomplishments and celebrate successes
Guest Experience
- Deliver and uphold exceptional customer service standards
- Ensure every guest receives accurate, high-quality orders
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly
- Promote Capriotti's culture of hospitality and service excellence
Operations Management
- Assist in opening and closing procedures
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Support inventory management, product rotation, and supply organization
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant
- Assist with labor management and daily operational efficiency
Communication & Accountability
- Communicate effectively with management and team members
- Ensure smooth transitions between shifts
- Follow company policies and operating procedures
- Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and accountability in all situations
What We're Looking For
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Previous restaurant, food service, retail, or hospitality leadership experience preferred
- Experience as a Shift Lead, Team Lead, Crew Leader, or Assistant Manager is a plus
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Dependable, flexible, and team-oriented
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
