We are seeking a Lumber Load Checker to join our team.
Job summary:
The Lumber Load Checker position is responsible for checking lumber products and ensuring that they are ready for delivery. The position requires interaction with the manager and production staff. The Lumber Load Checker reports to the Transportation Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Checking orders placed by customers.
- Securing orders together.
- Count all orders that come out of the yard.
- Tie and secure them.
- General clean up around the yard.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience:
- No minimum experience is required; however, 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of basic math.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Bilingual is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Position will require bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Lifting/carrying over 50 lbs.
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather.
