QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate or eligibility with the appropriate teaching endorsement.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- Ability to facilitate collaborative teams and analyze student data to inform instruction
- Meet such alternatives to the above qualifications, as the Superintendent and/or Director may deem appropriate, acceptable, and legal.
REPORTS TO: Director of Curriculum & Instruction JOB GOAL: Develop, revise, and refine district curriculum documents to ensure alignment with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards, high-quality instructional materials, and district instructional priorities.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Develop and revise curriculum documents, including units, pacing guides, and assessments aligned to NJSLS
- Ensure alignment to adopted or piloted high-quality instructional materials and district instructional frameworks
- Incorporate best practices in standards-based instruction, assessment, and differentiation
- Collaborate with administrators and teacher teams to ensure consistency across grade levels and content areas
- Revise curriculum based on feedback, student performance data, and state or district initiatives
- Meet established timelines and maintain organized, accurate documentation of all curriculum work
