BTM Company is seeking experienced Machinists to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for machining precision components, supporting production priorities, and assisting other machinists as needed in a fast-paced machine shop environment. The ideal candidate has strong machining experience, can work independently with minimal supervision, and is comfortable working from blueprints and tight tolerances. Responsibilities - Set up and operate manual and/or CNC machine shop equipment - Machine precision components according to blueprints and specifications - Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and work instructions - Verify dimensions and maintain high-quality standards - Support production scheduling and priority "hot" jobs as needed - Assist with troubleshooting machining and setup issues - Support rework and corrective machining activities - Maintain safe operation of machine shop equipment - Communicate effectively with supervisors, programmers, inspectors, and other machinists - Assist and mentor less experienced machinists when needed - Follow all company safety and quality procedures Qualifications - Experience operating lathes, mills, and related machine shop equipment - Ability to machine parts to tight tolerances with a high level of accuracy - Strong blueprint reading and shop math skills - Knowledge of measuring instruments and inspection tools - Understanding of machining feeds, speeds, tooling, and setups - Journeyman certification or equivalent machining experience preferred - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities - Ability to work independently and in a team environment - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Education - High school diploma or GED required - Trade school or machining apprenticeship preferred
