Job Title: Data Engineer, Associate
Location: 111 E. Sego Lily Drive, Suite 400, Sandy, UT 84070
Duties: Work with various stakeholders and users within the Fund Financials team to determine business requirements, priorities, and key performance indicators relevant to their needs. Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, reports, and other automated processes. Provide training and support to end-users. Collaborate with various teams to help ensure data quality and completeness. Break down challenging, complex problems to deliver results. Translate complex data sets into clear and actionable reports and visualizations. Perform code reviews and unit testing on all delivered solutions. Self-manage at a project level by planning development tasks and executing against a schedule. Apply fundamental knowledge of finance and accounting principles to support day-to-day job responsibilities and business operations.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related; two (2) years of experience as a Developer, Data Engineer, or a related position. Experience must include: Designing and refactoring a wide range of Azure Databricks (Spark SQL) workflows across several integrated systems, standardizing complex business logic and enabling scalable data pipeline architecture for enterprise reporting; engineering a high volume of advanced T-SQL scripts to construct performance metrics from transactional invoice data, translating complex relational datasets into structured reporting outputs for business stakeholders; and developing and automating daily Azure Data Factory ETL pipelines and multiple reporting fields, eliminating manual refresh processes and improving cross-system data consistency for operational reporting.
