Patient Access Coordinator | Bluegrass Orthopaedics
Bluegrass Orthopaedics is seeking a friendly, organized full-time Patient Access Coordinator to join our team.
The Patient Access Coordinator plays an important role in creating a positive patient experience by welcoming patients, scheduling appointments, collecting accurate demographic and insurance information, and supporting our clinical teams.
What You Will Do:
- Greet patients and visitors in person and by phone.
- Schedule appointments for physicians and physician assistants.
- Collect and enter patient demographic and insurance information
- Assist patients with insurance paperwork and general billing questions
- Maintain accurate patient records and schedules
- Communicate appointment information to clinical teams
- Provide professional and compassionate customer service in a fast-paced medical office environment.
Qualifications
What We are Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities throughout the day
- Comfort using computers, phone systems, and electronic records
- Medical office experience preferred, but not required
- EMR or practice management experience a plus
- Ability to travel between BGO locations throughout Lexington, KY market.
