Blach Construction

Founded in 1970, Blach Construction has been building structures of enduring quality and value throughout the Greater Bay Area and Monterey for 50 years. The firm’s experience encompasses a broad cross-section of education, institutional, mixed-use and workplace building types, including technology, life sciences, professional services, healthcare, K-12 and higher education and civic/community facilities. Collaborative and innovative, Blach continually adopts advanced construction techniques, leverages prefabrication, self-perform, and virtual design and construction capabilities, and invests in new offerings and project delivery methods that enable greater efficiencies and dramatically reduce the overall cost and duration of construction.

Blach consistently wins awards across the construction industry and general business community for its projects, innovation, employee engagement and community service. These include a 2019 “Construction Safety Excellence Award” from the AGC of California, as well as annual appearances on the Bay Area's “Best Places to Work” list, as named by the Silicon Valley Business Journal/San Francisco Business Times, and repeated ranking as a “Top Contractor in California” by Engineering News Record. Gratifyingly, the company also earned a coveted position as a Fortune Magazine top 30 “Great Place to Work.”

A service-minded commercial construction firm dedicated to enhancing communities practically and culturally, Blach is headquartered in San Jose and operates a branch office in Monterey to serve California’s Central Coast.
