Job Description
Beamline Contracting, LLC seeks Project Estimator (Newark, NJ). Analyzing project plans by reviewing drawings, specifications, and other project documentation to understand the project. Estimating costs: calculate the time, money, materials, and labor required for a project. Working and collaborating with engineers, architects, clients and contractors to discuss estimates and resolve issues. Preparing reports: create detailed cost analysis reports and bids for stakeholders. Monitoring costs and maintaining records of estimated and actual costs and adjust estimates as needed. Researching and stay up to date with construction technologies and regulatory requirements, assessing risks by identifying potential financial risks and assess the project’s technical and operational risks. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to get the best prices and quotes. Visiting and gathering information from project sites. Requires master’s degree in construction engineering and management or related education and 12 months of related experience as a Project Manager or related occupation.
