Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician
Location: Wakefield
Shift: 1 st shift| 4:30am – 4:30 pm (4 on, 4 off rotation)
Pay: $25/hour
Job Summary: Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician or Industrial Mechanic looking for steady pay, excellent work-life balance with a rotating schedule, and growth opportunities? Aventure Staffing is currently hiring a dependable Industrial Maintenance Technician to join a premier production facility in Wakefield, NE. In this role, you will play a vital part in daily operations by conducting preventive maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting, and equipment repair on agricultural machinery and food processing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting & Mechanical Repair: Perform routine preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, equipment setups, and machine start-ups on agricultural equipment and food processing machinery.
- Precision Maintenance: Partner with the reliability team on equipment installations, tracking critical spare parts, and participating in root-cause analysis to minimize production downtime.
- Fabrication & Shop Work: Safely utilize hand/power tools, cutting torches, welding equipment, air compressors, and forklifts as required.
- CMMS Logging: Accurately enter and manage work orders, asset records, and parts usage in the computer computerized maintenance management system.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent trade school experience.
- Experience: Prior background in industrial maintenance, agricultural mechanics, machine repair, or manufacturing maintenance.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with welding, fabrication, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, mechanical drives, and basic computer/CMMS software.
- Communication: Must be fluent in English (written and verbal) to read schematics, work orders, and safety protocols.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 60 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to stand, bend, crouch, crawl, and climb ladders/scaffolding around complex machinery.
- Comfortable working in variable temperature environments, around high noise levels, dust/fumes, and near active moving parts.
