Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
- Conduct industrial cleaning duties to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Buff floors and perform floor care maintenance to enhance the appearance of surfaces.
- Carry out custodial duties in both commercial and residential settings, ensuring all areas are clean and well-maintained.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Handle waste disposal and recycling efforts appropriately to promote sustainability.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or needs for replenishment.
- Provide porter services as required, assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment within the facility.
Experience
- Previous professional experience in janitorial or custodial roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Skills in residential painting or facilities maintenance are advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, lifting & walking
