CDL-A Driver – Dedicated Retail Distribution
Position Type: Full-Time | Dedicated Regional Home Time: Weekly, with additional home-time opportunities Join an Established Dedicated Fleet We are currently seeking CDL-A drivers for a dedicated retail distribution account based in West Jefferson, Ohio. This position offers competitive earning potential, modern automatic equipment, and a combination of regional deliveries and shuttle operations. Drivers transport preloaded refrigerated freight to retail locations throughout the greater Chicago area. A $1,000 holiday start bonus is currently available for eligible drivers. - Average Weekly Pay: $1,860
- Average Annualized Earnings: $96,758
- Top Weekly Earnings: Up to $2,539
- Top Annualized Earnings: Up to $132,036
Compensation includes mileage pay, stop pay, and detention pay. Actual earnings vary based on assigned routes, workload, and individual performance. Top earnings are not guaranteed. Schedule & Home Time This account operates seven days per week, with both daytime and overnight assignments.
Drivers can expect:
- Weekly home time with a 34-hour reset
- Potential to be home 2–3 days per week, depending on assignments
- Variable start times based on operational needs
- Weekend and holiday availability required
- A mix of regional store deliveries and shuttle runs
The operation runs around the clock, so flexibility with scheduling is important. Freight & Daily Responsibilities Drivers will transport preloaded refrigerated trailers from the West Jefferson, OH operation to retail delivery locations throughout Chicago and surrounding suburbs.
Responsibilities include:
- Operating 28-foot and 53-foot refrigerated trailers
- Completing dedicated store deliveries and shuttle assignments
- Monitoring store unloading at most delivery locations
- Using liftgates and pallet jacks for certain inner-city deliveries
- Following assigned delivery schedules and safety procedures
Most retail locations handle the unloading process while the driver observes. Some locations require additional driver involvement. Equipment

- Truck parking permitted at an approved safe and secure location
Driver Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Have at least 3 months of qualifying tractor-trailer driving experience
- Be comfortable operating in urban delivery environments
- Be willing to work variable schedules, including weekends
- Be capable of performing required freight-handling duties
- Meet applicable DOT and company hiring requirements
