Job Description
The Surgical Technologist will support a variety of cardiovascular procedures, ensuring a high standard of patient care and efficiency in a Level II Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will scrub a wide range of procedures, with preference given to those with robotic experience. The successful candidate will utilize the Epic charting system and be part of a team dedicated to high-quality healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Scrub for diverse cardiovascular surgical procedures.
- Assist in ensuring all surgical equipment is sterile and ready for use.
- Collaborate effectively with the surgical team, including nurses and surgeons.
- Utilize and maintain proficiency in using the Epic charting system.
- Participate in call coverage and weekend on-call scheduling.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of surgical technologist experience.
- Previous charge experience is preferred.
- Experience in cardiovascular and robotic procedures is highly desirable.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current Surgical Technologist certification (CST) is required.
- BLS certification is required.
- NBSTSA certification preferred.
