Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician plays a critical role in preparing and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment. This position requires attention to detail and adherence to infection control policies.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sterilize, and prepare surgical instruments and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and standards.
• Assist in inventory management of sterile supplies.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles.
• Communicate effectively with surgical and nursing staff.

Required Experience

• Current certification as a Sterile Processing Technician.
• Experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Certification in Sterile Processing and Distribution (CSPD) or equivalent required.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
