Schedule/Shift
Rotating shifts: Night Shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM and Day Shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Travelers are required to work at least every other holiday.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide care for patients in the Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit. The role may involve floating to other units such as J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department to care for the same patient population. The nurse will be responsible for performing assessments, planning and implementing patient care, executing treatments, and evaluating patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
- Documentation of patient care and progress in the charting system.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families.
Required Experience
- Must have at least 12 months of permanent experience in a Medical-Surgical or Telemetry nursing position.
- One reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required for submission.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active Ohio nursing license or a valid compact state nursing license.
- Current AHA or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications.
