Schedule/Shift
7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour night shifts, with 36 hours guaranteed, and every other weekend required.
Job Description
The telemetry nurse will provide specialized care for acutely ill patients, particularly those with heart disease or other severe conditions. This role involves constant monitoring of patients' vital signs and heart rhythms through automated equipment such as EKGs, ensuring timely interventions as needed.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients' vital signs and heart rhythms continuously.
- Administer medications and provide interventions as necessary.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient data accurately and comprehensively.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions and implement appropriate measures.
Required Experience
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in Telemetry.
- NIH stroke trained.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current BLS certification (AHA).
- NIHSS and ACLS certifications are preferred.
