Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide care in a Neuro Trauma unit with a total of 36 beds at Wesley Medical Center. The nursing staff consists of 7 RNs and 3 Patient Care Techs on the night shift, with an estimated patient ratio of 1:6. The unit utilizes Kangaroo Pumps for equipment and employs Meditech for electronic medical records.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in a telemetry unit.
- Monitor and manage patients using telemetry and related equipment.
- Conduct assessments, administer medications, and document care in the EMR system.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient outcomes.
- Perform EEGs and bubble studies as part of patient diagnostics.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 1 year current acute care hospital telemetry experience.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
