Job Description
The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe patient care by utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves providing direct patient care in the Telemetry Unit, guiding patient and family education, and overseeing the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care. The RN will communicate with physicians regarding changes in patient conditions, including cardiac monitoring and diagnostic study results.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe and effective patient care utilizing the nursing process.
- Perform assessments and develop care plans for assigned patients.
- Implement care and evaluate patient responses to treatment.
- Direct and guide patient and family teaching initiatives.
- Monitor cardiac conditions and communicate relevant changes to physicians.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient conditions and treatment responses.
Required Experience
- Current and valid state RN license.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- EPIC EMR experience is required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
