Schedule/Shift
Shift: 3x12 Night Shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend or as needed.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide care for inpatient adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions. This includes managing patients with cardiovascular diagnoses such as sepsis, myocardial infarction (MI), unstable angina, and coronary artery disease. The nurse will administer IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation, and perform cardiac telemetry monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Administer vasoactive drugs and antiarrhythmic therapy.
- Perform thrombolytic therapy, defibrillation, and cardioversion.
- Conduct thoracentesis and non-invasive blood pressure monitoring.
- Interpret EKGs and manage telemetry monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with ACLS and BLS guidelines.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac telemetry nursing.
- At least 1 year of experience using the EPIC electronic medical record system.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current South Carolina RN license.
- ACLS certification.
- BLS certification.
- NIHSS certification.
