This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
Rotating shifts: 7pm-7:30am and 7am-7:30pm. Must work at least every other holiday.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide care for patients on the Med/Surg telemetry unit and may float to units J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department as needed. The focus will be on delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes in conditions.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and care plans.
- Document patient care accurately in the appropriate charting systems.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 12 months of permanent nursing experience in Med/Surg telemetry.
- One year of recent oncology/chemotherapy administration experience preferred but not required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active Ohio nursing license or Compact State license required.
- Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required.
- Current ACLS certification required.
- NIHSS certification required.
