Schedule: 3x12s, Rotating weekends and holidays, with block scheduling not available. Night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.
Job Description
The 4G/Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Telemetry specializes in the care of adult and geriatric patients who require cardiac monitoring and a higher level of observation than a Medical-Surgical unit but do not require intensive care. Common patient populations include congestive heart failure (CHF), NSTEMI, pre-cardiac catheterization patients, stroke, pulmonary disorders, diabetes, multi-system disease, and post-surgical patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients in a Progressive Care Unit and Telemetry.
- Monitor vital signs and patient status, ensuring timely intervention when necessary.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Manage and monitor telemetry for patients to detect arrhythmias and other cardiac issues.
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience.
- Previous Charge experience preferred.
- Community hospital experience required, LTAC experience preferred.
- Travel experience required.
Certifications/Licensure
- MD or compact license must be in hand at the time of submission - no exceptions.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
- Preferred: PCCN, CMSRN certifications.
