Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, with every other weekend and holiday requirements as needed.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Telemetry Unit is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patients' needs while managing the care of assigned patients through ongoing assessments. RN's will also perform therapeutic nursing interventions and advocate for evidence-based practice care standards within a patient-centric care model.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and assist physicians with medical care.
- Identify patient needs and establish priorities through assessment and planning.
- Develop and coordinate individualized plans of care based on assessments.
- Initiate assessments based on patient problems, physician diagnoses, and health frameworks.
- Perform therapeutic nursing interventions as needed.
- Document care in accordance with standards of care and clinical priorities.
- Advocate for evidence-based practices in care delivery.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years recent Telemetry experience required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or multi-state compact license.
- BLS certification from AHA.
- NIHSS certification required.
- Telemetry Certification or Telemetry Competency Exam required.
