Rotating shifts of 7pm-7:30am and 7am-7:30pm; travelers may be required to work every other holiday.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit and may float to other units such as J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department to manage patients with similar needs. The nurse will work with a diverse patient population, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered care in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, adjusting care plans as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic charting system.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 12 months permanent experience in Med/Surg or Telemetry nursing.
- Previous experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active and unrestricted Ohio nursing license or compact state license.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
