Job Description
We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry to provide optimal patient care in a fast-paced, acute care environment. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, ensuring high-quality standards of care are maintained. Your ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and appropriately respond to changes is crucial for successful patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms of telemetry patients, taking appropriate action on changes.
- Provide comprehensive nursing services including medication administration and patient education.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
- Adhere to safety and care standards for a diverse patient population, including those with CHF, ETOH withdrawal, COPD, and post-procedure care.
- Utilize ancillary staff effectively, delegating tasks as necessary.
Required Experience
Minimum of 2 years of recent inpatient telemetry/PCU experience is required.
Certifications / Licensure
- Current NV RN license required prior to start.
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications mandatory.
- NIHSS certification (APEX) required.
