PCU/Tele Registered Nurse
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 3 shifts per week, with a requirement to work 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule.
Job Description
As a PCU/Tele Registered Nurse, you will evaluate assigned patients, plan, implement, and document nursing care. You will assist physicians during examinations and procedures, perform various patient tests, and administer medications within your scope of practice. Your role promotes patient independence by establishing care goals and teaching patients and their families about conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient needs and develop appropriate nursing care plans.
- Assist physicians with examinations and procedures.
- Perform patient tests and administer medications safely.
- Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care.
- Handle cardiac drips and familiarize with advanced cardiac procedures.
- Float between multiple departments as required.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current Arizona RN license.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar setting.
- Experience with Cerner EMR is required.
