Registered Nurse - Day Shift Med-Surg/Telemetry
Job Description
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our team in a Med-Surg/Telemetry setting. This position primarily focuses on the 1S Observation unit, with potential float assignments to various Med-Surg units, including but not limited to Respiratory, Stroke, Cardiac, and occasionally the Emergency Department if appropriately skilled.
Schedule
This is a full-time position requiring commitment to 36 hours per week on a day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, including every other weekend. Taking call will be a very rare occurrence.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Med-Surg/Telemetry setting, ensuring high-quality nursing practices.
- Float to other Med-Surg units as needed based on patient care requirements.
- Competently read telemetry and respond to changes in patient status promptly.
- Document patient information accurately using Epic EMR.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 3 years of current experience in Telemetry/Med-Surg nursing required.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
- Proficiency in Epic EMR is required; candidates will be tested on this skill on the first day.
- Candidates must be able to read Telemetry/BCRA and will be tested for competency.
