Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pediatric CVICU Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care to our patients. This position is in a 27-bed unit, focusing on both ICU and step-down level patients. The nursing team operates under an acuity-adaptive model, ensuring high-quality care tailored to patient needs.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in the CVICU.
- Assist with and manage care for patients with congenital heart disease and post-operative management.
- Utilize advanced monitoring and equipment while maintaining patient safety.
- Perform essential procedures including central line and arterial line placements, intubation/extubation, and post-operative recovery.
- Participate in code responses and ECMO procedures as required.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 1 year Pediatric CICU or CVICU experience as a staff nurse.
- 3-4 contracts in a dedicated pediatric CICU.
- 2 or more years of Pediatric ICU experience as a staff nurse.
- Experience caring for patients with congenital heart disease.
- Management of arterial lines, central lines, and transthoracic lines is essential.
- Current PALS, BLS, and ACLS certifications required.
