Job Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatric Oncology to join our team. The successful candidate will be integral in providing nursing care to pediatric patients within the oncology department. This role requires a strong focus on patient outcomes and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to pediatric oncology patients.
- Manage and monitor treatment plans and protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
- Document patient interactions and interventions in the electronic medical record (Cerner).
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and nursing care.
- Maintain patient safety and uphold standards of nursing practice.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current RN license in the state of North Carolina.
- PALS and BLS certification required.
- APHON certification preferred for oncology nursing.
- Experience in pediatric nursing and pediatric oncology is highly preferred.
