Schedule/Shift

This position requires night shifts, working 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00, and every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will serve on a Step Down Unit providing care for adult patients. This facility is a Level II Trauma Center with a daily census of approximately 28.8 patients. Clinicians will utilize Epic for charting and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in a Step Down Unit setting.
• Monitor patients with various medical conditions, including renal issues.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Manage and interpret cardiac drips and vasoactive drips.
• Ensure compliance with isolation precautions and safety protocols.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
• Experience in a Step Down or Intermediate Care Unit.
• Previous charge experience preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current RN license in the state of Texas.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
