Job Description
The Multi Trauma Unit (MTU) is a Level 1 trauma center that cares for a highly acute patient population with complex medical needs. This 20-bed unit is staffed by a dedicated team of nurses and support personnel, fostering a collaborative environment focused on high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including those requiring chest tubes, wound care, and other specialized interventions.
- Utilize equipment such as ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, and suction devices.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Meditech / CPN EMR systems.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient condition.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred.
- Experience with Meditech preferred.
