Night Shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with weekend coverage required.
Job Description
The Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) is a 34-bed unit staffed by 9 nurses and 4 patient care technicians, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1. The unit utilizes bedside monitors, glucometers, dopplers, standing scales, wheelchairs, and hoyer lifts. The electronic medical records (EMR) system is used for all documentation. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a well-tenured team.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the IMC setting.
- Monitor patients using various medical equipment.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist with procedures such as emergent chest tube placements and bedside bronchoscopies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to plan and implement patient care.
Required Experience
- Active RN license.
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Preferred: NIHSS certification, CATN, TCAR, or TCCN.
