Night shift: 3x12 hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30).
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide care in a Mixed Telemetry and Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). The focus includes pre/post cardiac catheterization, management of BPAP/CPAP, and care for adult and geriatric patients with general respiratory failure, cardiac, and renal conditions. The candidate must be comfortable floating between IMCU and Telemetry units.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage patients requiring telemetry and intermediate care.
- Administer medications including amiodarone and antiarrhythmics.
- Perform procedures such as cardioversion, defibrillation, and obtain 12 lead EKGs.
- Manage drains, epidural pumps, feeding tubes, and PCA pumps.
- Provide wound care and manage wound vac systems.
- Assist with IV therapy and central line care.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years nursing experience with a focus in an acute care settings.
- Experience in IMCU/Telemetry nursing preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active Compact RN license required.
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
