ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Float (Day Shift) in Olympia, Washington.

This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
This position offers a Day Shift schedule from 07:00 to 19:30, with 4 twelve-hour shifts per week. The nurse will be expected to float between units as needed and may include some charge responsibilities in smaller units.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in this float position will care for a diverse patient population, which may include ER boarded patients, telemetry, medical-surgical, and other units throughout the hospital. The nurse-to-patient ratio will typically be 1:4-6 based on unit acuity. The nurse will utilize the EPIC charting system and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in status.
- Manage staffing needs and bed flow in smaller units when acting as Charge Nurse.
- Utilize EPIC for documentation and charting of patient care.
- Provide high-quality care for patients in various units across the institution.
Required Experience
- At least 1 year of nursing experience in the U.S.
- Previous experience functioning as a Charge Nurse.
- Experience with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4-6.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active RN license in the state of Washington (Compact license acceptable).
- ACLS certification required.
- NIHSS certification preferred.
