Schedule/Shift
Shift: 3x12, 0700-1930. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. Floating to similar units may be necessary.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) managing a variety of cardiac and medical conditions including sepsis, arrhythmias, chest pain, and syncope. Responsibilities include managing cardiac drips, temporary pacemaker management, and sheath pulls, among other critical care interventions. The RN will use the EPIC charting system to document patient care and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered care in the Progressive Care Unit.
- Monitor and manage patients with cardiac arrhythmias, chest pain, and other medical diagnoses.
- Administer and manage cardiac drips without titration.
- Perform temporary pacemaker management and sheath pulls.
- Utilize the EPIC charting system for patient documentation.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Progressive Care, Cardiac Telemetry, or a similar setting.
- Charge nurse experience is preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current BLS certification is required.
- ACLS certification is preferred.
- Valid Compact RN license must be in hand at submission.
