Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), focusing on adult and geriatric patients. This role involves utilizing the Epic charting system and managing various patient conditions through effective nursing practices.
Responsibilities
- Manage patients with conditions requiring cardiac telemetry and intermediate care.
- Administer medications, including blood products and cardiac drips as per protocols.
- Perform non-invasive airway management and administer oxygen as needed.
- Conduct patient assessments and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
- Handle PICC line management, central line care, and feeding tube management.
- Provide procedural sedation administration and monitoring.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, specifically in a PCU or similar environment.
- Experience with Epic or a similar charting system.
Certifications/Licensure
- Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of California (Compact license is acceptable).
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
