Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care in the Intermediate Care Unit, handling cases related to sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, substance abuse, and encephalopathy. The role involves administering heparin drips and utilizing critical thinking skills to address patient needs effectively.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the IMCU.
- Administer medications, including heparin drips, as per protocols.
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, documenting changes as needed.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on care plans and health management strategies.
Required Experience
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting is required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active RN license in the state of Georgia.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
