7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 12-hour night shifts, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week.
Job Description
The nurses in our Progressive Critical Care Unit care for some of the most medically delicate and surgically complex patients in the region, including those experiencing respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications.
Responsibilities
- Provide competent care for medical and surgical populations.
- Utilize ACLS and advanced hemodynamics protocols, including pressor usage as per titration protocols.
- Manage antihypertensive drips, sedative and narcan drips, and thrombo-embolytics.
- Perform procedures such as a line, CVP, EVD, ortho traction, and adhere to infection prevention protocols.
- Utilize HFNC, BiPap/Cpap, and monitor patients on oxypendent therapy.
Required Experience
- Large scale adult Progressive Critical Care Unit experience.
- Community hospital ICU experience preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current RN license in the state of New York.
- ACLS certification required.
